Jody Hankins

Jody Hankins is a Senior Licensing Officer at Vanderbilt University’s Center for Technology Transfer and Commercialization, where she is responsible for the intellectual property protection and out-licensing of life science technologies. Her portfolio is heavily weighted toward therapeutic antibodies, a number of which have been licensed for the development of therapeutics, vaccines, diagnostics and research reagents. Prior to joining Vanderbilt, she was introduced to tech transfer through an internship at the Office of Technology Development at the Penn State University College of Medicine in Hershey, PA, where she completed a Ph.D. in the Department of Pharmacology and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in a dual graduate degree program. Jody has work experience across the spectrum of translational medicine, which includes work in academic research laboratories, a contract research organization, a pharmacy, and direct patient care.
