Janie Hurley

Janie currently oversees the team that develops commercialization and intellectual property protection strategies for Texas A&M AgriLife’s technology portfolio, represented by Texas A&M’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, AgriLife Research Centers and Institutes, Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory, and parts of the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences. She has negotiated commercial agreements for a wide range of A&M technologies for over 22 years, with specific experience in the area of protecting and licensing plant varieties and germplasm from Texas A&M plant breeding programs, representing over 25 different crops. Janie received her MBA and B.S. in Biomedical Science both from Texas A&M.
