James Zanewicz

James Zanewicz originated the Chief Business Officer role at Tulane in 2015, where he serves as the principal business development strategist and engagement officer to industry, investors and other external collaborators, as well as overseeing communications efforts for the School of Medicine. Education: B.S. (chemistry) Centre College, J.D. Tulane University Law School and an LLM in Intellectual Property and Media Policy, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He also trained in Science Policy and Leadership from the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and previously spent over 20 years in the private and academic sectors, including: Rhone-Poulenc/ Rhorer, CompuServe, Warner Bros., the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, the University of Louisville & the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. He is currently on the Board for the Alliance for Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare (AAIH), and his service to the profession has included chairing the University/Corporate Discussion group for BIO; serving on the Boards of the BioJudiciary Project, NACRO and AUTM; and chairing the Board for ATTP – the international knowledge transfer standards/accreditation organization.
