Ellen MacKay

Ellen MacKay is the Director of Innovation Development at Lakehead University. As a Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP), Ellen primarily works with faculty to identify, evaluate, and protect intellectual property developed at the University, as well as manages all commercialization and licensing activity. Ellen also oversees the on-campus business incubator, Ingenuity, as well as all entrepreneurial activities on both campuses. Her office also partners with other local economic development, innovation, and entrepreneurship organizations, to support economic outreach in the City of Thunder Bay, where she has resided for twelve years.
